My paintings stem from an innate desire to express somethings words can not. As a Utah native, I am deeply influenced by nature, which has shaped my psyche and serves as a constant wellspring of inspiration. Whether immersed in a landscape or observing a still life, my passion for painting is fueled by a visceral response to color, light, and composition. Through this process, I aim to bridge the gap between thought and intuition.

As a contemporary painter, I explore the interplay of dimensionality and abstraction. My work often creates a sense of tension through downward strokes that obscure edges, inviting ambiguity and intrigue. Using a diverse range of tools and mark-making techniques, I employ a push-pull approach, navigating between structure and spontaneity. This dynamic process ultimately gives rise to a balance—a harmony that reflects both the deliberate and the instinctive.
